Conditional

Your boyfriend/ girlfriend/ husband/ wife has just bought some new clothes which he/she thinks are wonderful. You think they look ridiculous. What would you do?
If my boyfriend bought some new clothes which he thinks are wonderful but I think they look ridiculous I would tell him the truth, obviously I would try not to say it in an offensive way. I would say to him: "I think that these new clothes don’t look so good, you should change them if you want I can go with you to change them or buy new ones." If he, even then, wanted to wear his clothes I would say that they are really ridiculous and he should wear something more serious. But if he accepted my help I would chose nicer clothes for him.
